The University of Wyoming Division of Social Work provides students with a comprehensive education in the field of social work. The program focuses on teaching students how to understand and apply the principles of social work practice in a variety of contexts. Students learn about human behavior, social welfare policy, and research methods. Through courses and fieldwork, they develop the skills needed to advocate for individuals, families, and communities. The program also emphasizes ethical practices in the profession, as well as knowledge about cultural diversity and global issues. The University of Wyoming Division of Social Work offers both a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Students who pursue a BS in Social Work are prepared to enter the profession with an understanding of core concepts such as human development and behavior, social welfare policies, research methods, and professional ethics.
