Developmental Psychology
Developmental psychology is a psychological research area that deals with age-related changes in thinking, behavior and characteristics, from conception to death. Clinical developmental psychology is about the emergence and treatment of cognitive, behavioral and emotional difficulties.
In principle, any psychological phenomenon can be studied from a developmental psychological perspective. What distinguishes developmental psychology from other parts of psychology is first and foremost that the phenomena are put in a temporal and age-related context.
Historically, pure descriptions of children of various ages and their development (descriptive studies) have been common. Later development psychological studies (observational studies, experimental studies, and so on) often been carried out within the dominant theoretical frameworks (psychodynamic psychology, evolutionary psychology (nativism), logical constructivism, information processing, social constructivism, and behavioral psychology (learning SteOri).
Modern developmental psychology encompasses all aspects of human functioning and sees development as a transactional process, where parents and children mutually influence each other. The research focuses on somewhat different conditions for different age groups.
The development in fetal life is mainly about the physical growth and the importance of chemical influence and experience.
Infant studies are about the development of self-perception, temperament, emotions, self-regulation, reflexes and other movements, attachment, problem solving and communication. These topics are studied from two general perspectives: the importance of innate characteristics and skills and of the social and physical environment one for development, and the interaction between innate characteristics and environmental impact.
Research on children and adolescents focuses in particular on the development of cognition and language, morality, autonomy, personality, identity, and career choices.
Most of the developmental psychology focuses on development up to adulthood. Life cycle psychology also includes the development that occurs in adulthood and aging. It includes both the emergence and loss of skills and abilities. Key themes include physical and cognitive changes related to age, social relationships with family and other people, work and health.

Keystone
At almost 3,000 meters above sea level, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, there is a village with the Keystone Ski Resort, which is often called God’s place. You can get here after a two-hour drive from the city of Denver. This resort, together with the village, was built in an interesting Alpine style. However, due to the high altitude, this area causes some visitors to alpine illness, which is manifested by discomfort around the stomach, nausea, headaches and dizziness. With these problems, one has to drink plenty of fluids and it is also good to get an oxygen bottle. Two days is usually enough to acclimatize, but many skiers prefer to go to lower positions to recover.
Quality snow cover ensures excellent conditions for skiing from the beginning of November to the end of April. The slopes are covered with excellent loose powder. The sun shines here almost all year round, so skiers can enjoy riding on the sunny slopes. There are 121 downhill runs available to skiers in the resort, which are divided into three hills. Modern ski lifts and cable cars take care of transporting skiers. You can reach the mountain tops by gondola or chair lift. A great experience is a visit to the top of Sapphire Point, from where there is a wonderful view of Lake Dillon and the massive cliffs in the background. In addition to skiing, Keystone offers winter fun of all kinds. You can try snowboarding, snow tubing, night skiing or go on a midnight trip to the tops of the hills on snowshoes. Near the area there is a cross-country skiing center run by the Czech Olympian Jana Hlavatá.
The ski resort is provided by an ancient town, where a gold rush broke out in the 19th century after gold was found, and subsequently the town developed a great development. To this day, however, Keystone retains a touch from the time of precious metal seekers. The town was built in the traditional Victorian style, but is also complemented by modern buildings with hotels and guesthouses. You can stay in the cheapest hostel, but also in a five-star hotel, it’s up to you. If you want to go to a restaurant or go shopping, visit the nearby towns of Dillon or Silverthorn.
