Oklahoma City

In May 2013, a tornado in the southern suburb of Moore claimed more than 24 lives (damage amounting to around US $ 1 billion).

Tulsa was considered the “Oil Capital of the World” until the early 1980s.

Founded in 1836 as a settlement of Creek Indians who immigrated from Alabama; the first white settlers came after the connection to the railroad in 1882. The oil (first discoveries 1901 and 1905) brought Tulsa, since 1908 City, an uninterrupted economic upswing.
