Santa Barbara is more of a town compared to the nearby metropolis of Los Angeles. However, Santa Barbara doesn’t have to hide, this region is known for its prominent neighborhood. Located directly on the coast, the city is one of the most expensive residential areas in the USA, which makes it all the more nice to run into a famous star at the bakery.

Santa Barbara is nicknamed the “Capital of the American Riviera” and not without reason. After all, the building fabric and streets are very reminiscent of various cities in the southern part of Europe. The Spaniards laid the foundation for this around 400 years ago. White-painted houses, some of them very old and well-preserved, characterize the cityscape with red roof tiles from a distance of several kilometers. There hardly seems to be any rain. The rainiest months are with an average of 3 rainy days from November to April. The thermometer rarely falls below the 10 ° C mark and those who need the power of the sun can rely on it for 9 hours a day on an annual average.

After a nice walk on the beach, treat yourself to a look at the many sights and cultural attractions. Your programming should include the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. The special thing about this building is that no other building in this area may be higher than the magnificent building in the inner center of the city. Also, don’t miss the botanical garden popular with University of California students. It measures 12 hectares and a selection of native trees, cacti, herbs and shrubs can be viewed there.
