You can get around the island by bike or cidomo (horse and carriage). The island is suitable for both travelers of all ages. Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three islands with a circumference of 7 km. It is described in all tourist books as very lively, but there are definitely areas in the north and west that are peaceful. The northeast side, with its long beach area, is an ideal place for snorkeling and there is the opportunity to see sea turtles. You can also paddleboard and surf. The southeastern part is “livelier”. Here the restaurants are side by side with local shops. (F )
