The Debut of Raf Simons for Calvin Klein with Message

One of the most anticipated fashion shows fashion week was New York. The reason? The Raf Simons as creative director of the American firm’s debut, After leaving Christian Dior in December 2015. A sample that combines art and fashion, two of the hallmarks of the Belgian creator has been on the catwalk. And best of all is that during the parade there was message to Donald Trump playing This song as a backdrop is Not America (this is not United States) David Bowie.

RAF Simons announced in August 2016 that would be part of Calvin Klein, and we were all eager to see the result of this union. Finally the day has come and the result is superb, respecting the style of Calvin Klein but with that touch of art that I said initially.

The Autumn-winter 2017 / 2018 of man and woman, because it has jointly presented the two collections, featuring minimalist clothing, denim and classic sober style of the firm, but combined with the outputs loaded color, inspired in the art of Andy Warhol.

Transparencies for the more daring, nods to the United States flag with an asymmetric dress, tight-fitting shirts look cowboy and creations with details of feathers which recall its stage in Dior complete the first parade of Raf Simons for Calvin Klein.

“When you have a voice, should use it,” said Simons, and the Belgian designer has done the same. His collection is “the union of characters and different individuals, as the own United States”.
